Uniting Vienna City Departments to Provide Support for Startups

The Problem

Businesses in Vienna, Austria, were supported by different City departments, depending on company size, growth stage and industry. Startups were not aware of the services offered by the City and costs for the City were high due to redundant and not coordinated work.

The Solution

As product manager at gizmocraft I led the design and agile implementation of a new web application for the Vienna Business Agency which replaced six separate websites. The new platform offered a single point of contact for businesses.

Impact

The new website increased the number of participants in networking events and number of online applications for fundings. The total number of website users grew, as well as the duration of their
stay. Since the launch in 2014 additional services like public company profiles and award participations have gained traction (Numbers confidential.)
